– How to carry out a search for registered trade marks (i.e. the different groups and classes)
– How to assess a trade mark with the proposed trade mark for potential conflicts
– Action that can be taken where a proposed trade mark is similar to or the same as a trade mark that has already been registered
– How to register a trade mark
– The action that the holders of registered trade marks can take where trade mark protection has been breached

Part 2: Registering a Trade Mark Regionally / Internationally (i.e. European Union Intellectual Property Office (‘EUIPO’)):

– How to carry out a search for registered trade marks (i.e. the different groups and classes)
– How to assess a trade mark with the proposed trade mark for potential conflicts
– Action that can be taken where a proposed trade mark is similar to or the same as a trade mark that has already been registered
– How to register a trade mark
– The action that the holders of registered trade marks can take where trade mark protection has been breached
