This module provides an overview of the registered and unregistered system of land law in England.
The area of land law covered in this module includes:
– Unregistered Land
o The Pre-1925 Rules
– Registered Land
o The Register
o Third party rights (i.e. covenants)
o Overriding interests
The module shall provide a discussion about the applicable legal framework, key statutory provisions and case law applicable in this area. By the end of this module, students shall have a reasonable understanding of how the system of land registration operates in the United Kingdom.
Students completing this course shall be given a Certificate of Completion.
